The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Cream: Review

So it has finally come to the time where I write review on The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Cream. I have been using this cream since winter of last year and it has helped to improve my skin so much! My skin is super dry, more so on the dreaded winter days, so I was on the hunt for a new thick moisturiser and I came across this cream on one of my shopping trips. As soon as I tested the formula in the shop I loved it but I was a little hesitant due to the strong smell of the cream as my skin is sensitive to strongly scented products. However, I saw past this and decided to give it a try anyway. YOLO lol!

The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Cream has been infused using 3 seed oils from around the world which are known for repairing and revitalising the skin. The three seed oils are, Camellia seed oil from China, Rosehip seed oil from Chile and Black cumin seed oil from Egypt. Together these three seed oil are a perfect mix for revitalising, moisturising and adding radiance to the skin, which everyone wants.

My first impression was that I loved the packaging and it came in a heavy glass jar which made it look and feel rather luxurious. The cream itself is a light whipped texture which absorbs quickly into the skin but does not feel heavy or sticky at all. I use this cream at night as it is a heavier cream and I wake up to my skin feeling smooth, hydrated and looking super radiant. There is a strong spicy exotic scent to the cream which did sting my skin bit when I first started to use it. But after a few uses the stinging faded and I was so happy about this as usually with strongly scented products the stinging on my skin leads to irritation and small red spots. The spicy scent is not too bad once you get used to it but I would prefer if the cream was scent free.

Overall this cream is a winner for me as it is very hydrating and leaves my skin feeling super nourished without that horrible greasy feeling. My skin feels so great after using this for the past few months! The price of this cream is £26 for 50ml which is perfect as a little goes a long way with the thick formula. There is a Gel Cream version of this product which is lighter in texture and would be ideal for daytime use. For me however, I would stick to the cream as I prefer the more thick and creamier texture.
